Therapy operated by Jerrilyn Black, LICSW, LCSW, LCSW-C under J. Francis Black LLC. is governed by the laws and ethical requirements of the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia, where Jerrilyn Black holds clinical licensure. As a client of Jerrilyn Black, you agree that any psychotherapy session conducted in-person or via will be considered as taking place within the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia, regardless of your location during the time of a session.

Payments:
Jerrilyn Black, LICSW, LCSW, LCSW-C requires credit card information to be provided via a secure patient portal.  All psychotherapy session fees will be paid via credit card, after the psychotherapy session takes place.  Any other payment, including cash or check, must be paid in advance of the psychotherapy session taking place.

Schedule Changes & Cancellations:
Jerrilyn Black, LICSW, LCSW, LCSW-C sets aside time for you for any scheduled appointments you make and thereby requests that any notification of cancellation or any changes in schedule be given at least 48 hours before a scheduled appointment is set to take place. Any cancellations made within 48 hours of an appointment will be charged a service fee unless an agreement has been made between Jerrilyn Black, LICSW, LCSW, LCSW-C and you, the client. Any missed appointments will also be charged a service fee. For all scheduling changes, Jerrilyn Black, LICSW, LCSW, LCSW-C  requires a minimum notice of 48 hours.

Jerrilyn Black, LICSW, LCSW, LCSW-C  is dedicated to providing professional care of the highest standards and will do their best to serve you. However, if at any point in time your therapist finds that Jerrilyn Black, LICSW, LCSW, LCSW-C is no longer able to continue being effective in helping you, Jerrilyn Black, LICSW, LCSW, LCSW-C will make every possible effort to find an appropriate professional to refer you to.
